Lyon has wrapped up the signing of left-wing back Fabio Grosso in a £5 million deal
The Italian World-Cup winner passed his medical this morning and is now in the process of putting his signature on a four-year contract.
The French Champions have moved quickly to replace the Barcelona-departed Eric Abidal, organising a press conference on Monday to parade their new signing.
Grosso’s contract is reported to be worth £1.4m a season and will also see him wearing the No. 11 shirt.
Lyon’s fans will welcome the arrival of the talented and energetic Grosso; however it shall be interesting to see the reception he gets from the rest of the French crowds since he was the man that scored the decisive penalty that won the World Cup for Italy over France
