AC MIlan signs Alexander Pato

AC Milan have drawn a long lasted transfer saga to an expected conclusion when they announced that they have officially signed Brazilian Starlet Alexander Pato.

Milan were the least favourites to land the highly-rated youngster, but they managed to sign the forward amid competitions from clubs like Real Madrid, Chelsea and city rivals Inter.

Milan payed out his buyout clause of 14.5 million Euros and have handed the player a contract worth 2 million Euros per season.

However the 18 year old can't feature in any of Milan's fixtures until January.

An official statement from the club revealed that "Alexandre Pato will train with Milan and will be able to play the friendly matches starting from the 3rd of September 2007"

"From the 3rd of January 2008 onwards, he will also be able to play in the official games."

What is certain, though, is that the player is a Rossoneri.

I just posted about Alexandre Pato on my blog too. I think he will do a lot for Milan in the future. Give him a year or two to get accustomed to it all. Let Ronaldo should him a thing or two and he'll do amazing things!
