Bolton have completed the signing of Mikel Alonso from Real Sociedad on a season-long loan.
Alonso, brother of Liverpool's midfielder Xabi, successfully impressed manager Sammy Lee during a trial spell with the Trotters.
Bolton have the option of making the deal for the 27-year-old permanent at the end of the loan arrangement.
Alonso has spent most his career with the Basque club, who were relegated from La Liga last season.
Meanwhile Bolton may be soon parting company with Israeli midfielder Idan Tal, who is to hold talks with Beitar Jerusalem
