Freddie Ljunberg will be playing his football in Serie A next season according to 'firenzeviola.it', as the Italian website reports that the Director of Sports of the Viola flew to London on Monday to meet up with the Swedish player's agent.
Apparently there is not much difference between the request and offer by the two clubs (1-1.5 million Euros), which can be solved with either the part exchange of Valeri Bojinov or Per Kroldrup.
Ljunberg will also have to decrease his salary by about 1 million Euros and that might be the only reason to stop the Gunners player from joining the Tuscan side.However, things should become more clear in the next few days, with the Swedish midfielder expected to give a reply to Fiorentina, but even in England reports seem to suggest that the deal is close to be sealed.
