Leverkusen Sign Kurdov

The transfer of Anatas Kurdov from Levski Sofia to Bayer Leverkusen has been confirmed.

Bulgarian league champions Levski Sofia have announced the sale of one of its most promising youngsters, Atanas Kurdov, to German outfit Bayer Leverkusen.

Levski is set to receive €350 000 from the transfer, which will be completed this week.
Kurdov, 19, who plays as a forward, is the second Levski youngster to be sold abroad this summer, following in the footsteps of goalkeeper of Nikolay Mihailov, who joined Liverpool last month.

He picked Bayer Leverkusen despite interest from Tottenham in England and Monaco in France.

He is the second Bulgarian to sign for the German club after Dimitar Berbatov, the star striker of Tottenham Hotspur and the Bulgarian national team.

The young striker is the son of Petar Kurdov, who won three Bulgarian titles with Levski in the mid-1980s, before moving abroad to play two seasons in Germany and Spain
