Milan Loan Oliveria to Zaragoza

Brazilian Ricardo Oliveira has packed his bags, albeit temporarily for now, as he has been officially loaned out to La Liga side Real Zaragoza in a deal with includes an option for a permanent transfer.

After a disappointing first year at Italian giants AC Milan, Oliveria will return to the league in which he was top scorer for Real Betis during the 2004-05 season.
The form in which saw Oliveria net 22 goals in 37 appearances failed to show itself amongst the notoriously strong defences in Italy, as the striker managed only 3 goals in 26 Milan appearances.

Milan’s club website officially announced the news this morning, which would have come as no surprise to the Italian media for the player had become surplus to requirements.
With Ronaldo’s arrival in January bolstering a strike-force already containing Flippo Inzaghi and Alberto Gilardino, the departure of fourth-choice Oliveria seemed destined, especially as his wages where reported to have soared to £2m per year.

It is no secret that Milan are in the market for a world-class striker and Oliveria’s loan move shall enforce the need for Milan to step up their search for the elusive 30-goal a season man.
